My mother brought me to Dr. Lim based on a referral of her friend because I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and had not had a period for 2 years. When I was diagnosed I was prescribed birth control pills in order to get my period back on track. I was on the pill for about a year and every 3 months my doctor would change my pills to a higher dose of estrogen due to lack of results. I have never liked taking artificial hormones but was afraid if I didn’t, I would have trouble conceiving later.
